Based on our own experience, we recommend renting a charter on the Costa Brava when the weather conditions are at their best. Specifically, the ideal season for sailing on the Costa Brava runs from May to early October. Mainly between the months of June and September, in the middle of summer without being high season. Also outside this tourist season, the Costa Brava receives many visitors in the months of April and October. These are more relaxed months and the waters are already at an appetising temperature.
The regions of the Costa Brava are Alt Empordà, Baix Empordà and La Selva. These are areas that condense the essence of the typical fishing villages, despite the fact that they are now very much focused on tourism and holidaymakers. Their beaches and coasts portray the seafaring, fishing and farming origins of these villages on the Catalan coast.

You should know in advance the number of people travelling. It is important to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety. We will recommed you the most suitable boat for everyone.
We consider there is a problem when something happens through no fault of our own and the boat cannot sail due to mechanical breakdown, sails, electricity, ….. But it is very unlikely that something like this will happen, as we have official maintenance and logistical support.
Keep an eye on the weather forecast at all times. If it is necessary to bring the return trip forward and sail around the arrival area, this will have to be done. High season rentals are back-to-back.
Forget about hard shell suitcases. It’s best to bring your things in a duffel bag that can be folded up and stored anywhere on the boat. Important equipment: sunglasses, sun protection, cap, nautical footwear, warm clothes, some waterproof clothing and towels.
